

| The following opportunities are currently available for your involvement and your witness. It is the goal of our Church to have every family involved in at least one through our parish community. This is the essence of being a Stewardship Parish! |
| ALTAR SERVER: Girls and boys, grades 4 through high school have the opportunity to assist with Mass. BAPTISM PREP: Parishioners who conduct a seminar to inform parents and Godparents of the meaning and importance of having their children baptized, and the true role of God parents. BUILDING & GROUNDS MINISTRY: Responsible for maintenance of buildings and grounds. CCD TEACHER: Teachers, aides, and volunteers are needed to provide the necessary educational instruction for our religious education programs. CHILDREN CHURCH: This ministry teaches our young children the Liturgy of the Word at the weekend Masses. CLEANING COMMITTEE: Parishioners responsible to clean our church on a rotating basis. COMMENTATOR: During Mass, read the intentions and introduction, lead the responses of the congregation and announcements. CORRESPONDENTS: Parishioners who enhance the quality of life among our community be sending cards when appropriate. Also, helps to publicize news worthy events through the bulletin and Bayou Catholic. ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE: Committee members are scheduled on a rotating basis to create a prayerful atmosphere, especially for major liturgical events, such as Christmas, Easter and other yearly feasts. EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF THE EUCHARIST: Lay people, eighteen years of age or older, assist in distributing the Eucharist at Mass. FINANCE COMMITTEE: Assists the pastor in reviewing and monitoring the financial position of the parish. FOOD BANK: Provides an opportunity to provide food for those in need. GOOD SAMARTIAN: Ministers to the physical needs of the bereaved of our community by preparing complete meals for the deceased immediate family. HOMEBOUND: Volunteers who visit our parishioners to bring the spirit of the community and love to their homes. Another aspect of these visits is to bring Holy Communion to the homebound (including nursing homes). LECTORS: Parishioners who proclaim the Word of God at our liturgies. LEGION OF MARY: Parishioners who promote devoting to the Blessed Mother through prayer and service to the sick, poor, and needy. MASS COORDINATORS: Parishioners responsible for helping to prepare the church before and after Mass. MARRIAGE PREP: Parishioners who help prepare young couples to receive the sacrament of Holy Matrimony. MUSIC MINISTRY: This ministy includes song leaders, instrumentalists, and choir members. The provide the music for Saturday and Sunday Masses and special celebrations in our church. A children's choir leaads the music during certain seasons. NURSING HOME & Assisted Living Ministry, which conducts a Communion Service on Thursday morning at 10 am at Masion de Ville Nursing Home, Homestead, Terrebonne House and Bayou Towers. OFFICE VOLUNTEERS: Parishioners who assist our office staff. PASTORAL COUNCIL: Advisory board to the Pastor. RCIA MINISTRY: Parishioners dedicated to executing the RCIA process for our parish family and includes people who wish to be sponsors of candidates. SMALL FAITH GROUPS: Parishioners who gather for prayer in church or at individual homes. Ther groups are contemplative, charismatic, and Bible study. ST. VINCENT DE PAUL: Ministers to the overall needs of the poor. USHERS: Parishioners who are responsible for greeting the congregation at weekend Masses, taking the collection, distributing bulletins. YOUTH MINISTRY: This ministry is designed to encourage teen participation in the church community. It is dedicated to meeting the spiritual, emotional, and social needs of our youth. |
